About The Flute Source

The Flute Source is an online resource for flutists and flute enthusiasts of all ages and levels. Created in 2003 by Tiffany Holmes (formerly Tiffany Campbell), its primary goal is to assist others in the study of the flute and flute-related topics by presenting a comprehensive collection of organized links, bibliographies, repertoire lists, masterclass information, and other continuously updated information submitted by professional flutists from around the world.


About the Creator/Webmaster

Tiffany Holmes is a private flute teacher and freelance flutist currently residing in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has served on the flute faculty of Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and is active throughout the midwest as an adjudicator and clinician. Additionally she is a member of the 312th United States Army Band based in Lawrence, Kansas. She is co-founder of the Nebraska Flute Club and served as President on the Founding Board of Directors from 2003-2005. She is a member of the Kansas City Flute Association and the National Flute Association. In August, Tiffany presented "The 21st Century Flute Studio: Using Technology to Help You and Your Students" at the 2004 National Flute Association Convention in Nashville, TN. She has authored several published articles, including "The Lyrical Nature of Libby Larsen's Aubade" (Flute Talk, April 2004) and "Technology in the Studio" (Flute Talk, September 2005).

Tiffany has earned degrees in flute performance from Peru State College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was graduate assistant to Dr. John Bailey.
